Voice Thread (http://www.voicethread.com) will be a perfect website if it is free. To many school teachers, especially those who work in a public school, budget is so tight that they might not be able to afford the annual membership of Voice Thread.
Google Voice is also a website that allows people to put their voices online and have privacy. My former cooperating teacher (CT) used Google Voice to record her students' voices and play them in class. To do so, she had her students call her Google Voice numbers and leave a voice message. The Google Voice numbers could be either generated by Google or chosen by personal preferences (as long as the numbers you choose have not been used by the other people). If one does not have an extra phone for Google Voice, he/ she can even direct his/ her calls to his/ her private phone numbers. After my CT's students had recorded their voice messages, my CT could download these messages from her Google Voice webpage. All the services were free!
