How to Download Animations of Stroke Orders

     As a Chinese language teacher, I believe most teachers have experienced this difficulty -- to teach Chinese stroke orders to non-native speakers.  Chinese stroke orders are the most basic lesson before Chinese language learners master this language.  Following correct stroke orders does not only help Chinese language learners to write balanced and beautiful Chinese characters, but also better memorize the writing of the characters. 
Unfortunately, not many websites offer free and animated videos for Chinese language learners to learn to write correct stroke orders for every character.  Also, it is very inconvenient for teachers to open every single webpage in order to show the students the animated videos of stroke orders for different characters, let alone the possible loading time for opening the webpage and the temporary breakdown of the websites.

     To solve this problem, I started doing research on free software that offered animated videos of stroke orders offline.  Unfortunately, there was no such things existed.  Thanks to the fast development of technology, not so long ago, I happened to find a way to solve this problem.

     Here, I want to introduce an add-on app for FireFox browser -- Download Flash and Video 1.30 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/download-flash-and-video/).  This add-on app can download most flash and videos on a webpage for free.  Upon installation, users can click the button of download mark on the top right of the browser

Then, users will see a list of flashes/ videos inserted on the webpage.  Choose the file of the smallest capacity (the file capacity of the stroke order animations is pretty small).  Choose the saving destination of this file.

And then, users can find this file in your destinated location.  The file can be inserted in PowerPoint slides or viewed by an Internet browser.

     Because some websites block users from downloading their flash files, it is still difficult to get the stroke order animations.  Recently, I have found a website called "Da Ci Dian" on which users can download stroke flash with ease.  The website link is here.  Enjoy!
