劝学网 (Quan Xue Network; 劝学: To encourage the happening of learning) is a non-profit, yet well-established website that collects bountiful resources of Chinese classic literature and historical stories in Chinese.
Because this website does not promote itself to the top Google search, it is not easy to discover this purely educational resource center. I found this website by accident while I was doing research on the resources of Chinese History for my Web Quest lessons in late April. So far this website is a satisfaction in terms of its completeness of the literature collections. Plus, it is a free-advertisements website. However, because the literature is written in literary Chinese without further explanations and translations, the language might be too difficult for non-advanced Mandarin speakers. Nonetheless, it is still highly recommended for Mandarin teachers when searching Chinese classic literature and historic stories.
